Snow Cleats For Tires What Is The Best Way To Walk On Ice/frozen Snow?

What is the best way to walk on ice/frozen snow? - snow cleats for tires

I am here in Norway and the people observed walking 2-3 times faster than me, and seem no problems with the smooth surface. They wear no shoes, no regular (sports shoes). I Bates 21500 (expedition boots DoD) and have great difficulty upstraight, let alone walk ...!

What's your secret?

Yes, plants make a difference. What is better in dry soil or mud sliding door is not necessarily better in snow and ice!

) Boots (boots in particular can be the worst shoes bend properly so not as stiff as his ankle. Softer shoes or boots are best.

First you put your feet down and directly, without raising any deviation. No "Kick Off" when you lift your foot, or is forced to slip. Easy to lift.

Even with the rotation: Put your feet when on the ground. And the sliding motion of the foot.

And practice.

If you go, it is important that the best way to have a close connection with the ground. Because the ice is slippery, it is important not to make big steps, the equilibrium is an important factor in maintaining balance and not slip and fall at the end. In addition, inhibiting the body weight is supported by one leg, is a good idea (especially in slippery surfaces) on the front foot slide, instead of collecting them. To raise the constant interaction with the ice in front of the foot and new friction will increase your balance, and ultimately contribute to not fall.

Ice Traction Slip-ons will help to get a grip on ice and snow. These are the little shoes with elastic extension of shoes that offer you already carry, and great traction on ice and snow. Small metal pins on the bottom of the mirror down the handle. After a little practice you will be walking (or running or jumping) on ice, and firmly, as you walk freely on the sidewalks of ice. They are relatively cheap.

Hey Evert,

I run every day here, near Tønsberg, and I have no problem with my cheap running shoes. The fact is, the race is going to be less slippery. I do not know why, but it is.

Born and raised in Belgium, so I can not say Jeg er født med ski på Beina (I was) born with skis on, so I suspect that the Norwegians a better balance on the ice since birth! :-)

I have to walk normally, but not only with a stronger, fairer and prudence. My sister always says, can run as fast as on the ice? lol

by the way I live in Canada, so treat the whole time.

Here's a tip: Think a little dirt, leaves, sand or any other group of particles, which are scattered on the floor. The soil, leaves, etc. until the ice and handle increases the friction of the earth.

Funny to see that the Norwegians. Perhaps we were simply bred for speed walking on ice and frozen snow?

I think that would be the obvious answer to your question, get boots?
